    The Role

     

    The Operations Supervisor will coordinate and safely complete the duties of production, shipping, receiving, preventative maintenance, and improvement teams. This position will support our overnight operations (6pm - 4am, Monday - Friday).

    Internal Job Description

    Key responsibilities for this role include:

     

    • Promote teamwork among all shift associates and between shifts.
    • Participate in performance assessment, employee development, and compensation discussions of Operations Associates.
    • Work with Production Planner to establish production plan
    • Investigate root cause for CAR/NCR
    • Manage/maintain shift work
    • Be a role model and advocate for FUJIFILM values.
    • Produce, package and prepare FUJIFILM products for shipment.
    • Receive raw material and containers
    • Perform required data entry and record keeping
    • Perform required quality testing and inspections
    • Maintain safe and clean working environment
    • Immediately address any deviation to FUJIFILM values, procedures, policies, etc.
    • Develop and implement continuous improvement ideas.
    • Lead plant safety initiatives.
    • Perform miscellaneous production and warehouse related tasks (for example, cycle count, preventive maintenance, housekeeping, inventory, incident investigation)
    • Develop leadership skills through practice and training

     

    REQUIREMENTS

     

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • One to three years of production or warehousing experience in a manufacturing environment. Previous supervisory experience preferred.
    • Knowledge of manufacturing equipment and materials handling.
    • Self-directed, ability to work with limited supervision, strong written and oral communication skills.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Lotus Notes; experienced in ERP systems data entry
    • Must have flexibility to work on all shifts.
    • This is a safety-sensitive position that requires candidates to successfully pass a post-offer drug screening prior to employment. One of the essential job functions is the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
