Job Description

This Information Technology Manager is responsible for information technology services as it relates to network administration, network operations, and communications across all locations.

QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of five years of experience in network administration and communications is required. Must have strong communication skills and demonstrated technical ability. Network Certification or Associates Degree in Networking or a related field preferred. Active Directory administration experience is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES: This position is responsible for information technology services as it relates to network administration, network operations, and communications across all locations.

• Provides overview and guidance in the following areas: voice/data communications between offsite locations and main office network, network equipment, phone systems, PC repair and maintenance services, network access, network security, core business application support, employee training.
• Researches and recommends technology related hardware/software as well as any new network application development or purchases for new and emerging technologies.
• Researches and recommends outside IP/Internet services for the clinic including but not limited to Ethernet and voice services.
• Researches and determines best hardware and software solutions for the use of each employee.
• Approves and purchases necessary equipment and software to provide virtual servers and desktops, Ethernet switching, routing, wireless access points, wireless controllers, firewalls, Circuits, VOIP phone system and video surveillance.
• Responsible for the configuration/monitoring and upgrade of wireless hardware/software.
• Responsible for the configuration/monitoring and upgrade of firewalls.
• Responsible for the configuration/monitoring and upgrade of switch hardware/software.
• Maintains network security standards and HIPAA compliance standards.
• Recommends and approves updates to software and hardware as it relates to the VoIP system.
• Monitors all voice/data circuits and coordinates installation of voice/data circuits when necessary.
• Other duties assigned by the Office Administrator.
