Instructor - Liberal Arts teaches courses in the discipline area of liberal arts. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Liberal Arts provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Liberal Arts typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. Position Description:Delta College of Arts and Technology is seeking a highly student-oriented individual to join our team as a part-time English Instructor at our Baton Rouge Campus. This is a temporary position for a 6-week course to be taught starting April 2024, and periodically after if available.
The English Instructor's responsibilities include:- Learning and adapting the course curriculum,
- Mentoring students and providing additional support when needed,
- Overseeing examinations and final practical tests,
- Providing course feedback to the Director,
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date classroom records.

Requirements:- Bachelor's degree or higher.
