Instructor - Nursing teaches courses in the discipline area of nursing. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Nursing provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Nursing typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. The objective of the position of the Instructor is to assure that students of Career Care Institute receive the most current training available in their chosen field of education. Instructors are responsible for all aspects of instruction, including student training and evaluation. The core responsibilities of an instructor are to teach and guide the student through the current, approved curriculum and provide evidenced based research/continuing education service to the school including curriculum improvement and other administrative assignments.
Instructors must demonstrate a superior knowledge base in their specialized areas. The instructor is expected to enhance student success through the application of motivational strategies geared toward improved student outcomes. Instructors should apply superior skills in all phases of their field of specialty, subject or program of the school’s curriculum in which they teach.
