Being an Instructor - Physics provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Physics typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research.     The Experimental & Computational Physics Group is seeking outstanding staff members to join our growing, multidisciplinary team of theorists and experimentalists to solve mission-relevant challenges.


    Qualifications

    You meet our minimum qualifications if you...

    • Possess a PhD in Physics, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
    • Have a strong desire to work in a highly collaborative, interdisciplinary, applied science environment.
    • Are willing to occasionally travel to sponsor sites, conferences and workshops.
    • Are able to obtain an Interim Secret level security clearance by your start date and can ultimately obtain a TS/SCI w/ Polygraph security clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and need to meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship.

    • Have data analysis, physics simulation, or other coding experience.
    • Have experience working in a laboratory setting and performing research involving electronics, lasers, cryogenics, RF devices, quantum information, microelectronics, fiber optics, or materials science.
    • Have an active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph security clearance.
