The UHS Corporate PR Department is hiring an Internal Communications Specialist that will be responsible for contributing to the planning, development and delivery of internal employee communications content and UHS Corporate programs that actively engage internal audiences, as well as helping to manage content.
Key Responsibilities include:- Assist in developing collateral in support of initiatives aligned to UHS strategic and organizational priorities
- Focus in large part on communications activities related to SharePoint content management, organizational updates/announcements, email updates/e-Newsletters and employee engagement events (including planning and execution)
- Manage assigned tasks and small projects, collaborating effectively with Marketing and Communications colleagues and internal clients to develop internal news stories, SharePoint content, business updates and other multimedia content
- Assist with event production, meeting management and special activities, such as employee engagement and recognition events
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing or a similar field from an accredited college or university with 1 year experience in corporate communications.- Strong writing/copy-editing skills (writing samples required)
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and time-management skills
- Detail-oriented; strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Desire to learn and share ideas in a collaborative work environment
- Flexible; seamlessly multi-tasks; willing to change priorities to align to business and organizational needs
- Comfortable with technology and learning new tools and processes
- Proficient in computer skills and experienced with Microsoft Office
