Licensed Clinical Social Worker provides clinical social work services to patients and their families. Counsels and provides crisis intervention for patients, including assessment and treatment of emotional and behavioral problems. Being a Licensed Clinical Social Worker coaches patients on how to manage ongoing health conditions and provides therapy to help patients make positive behavior changes. Requires a master's degree in social work. Additionally, Licensed Clinical Social Worker requires Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Requires the applicable State License to Practice Clinical Social Work. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. At the direction of the Behavioral Health Director, and in his/her absence, performs clinical assistance to behavioral health patients and their families. Patients may be self-referrals, referred from medical centers, or referred internally from the Clinic health professionals. Partners with psychiatric and allied teams, as well as Clinic health professionals, in the diagnosis, creation, and maintenance of the patient care plan. Works within the requirements of department programs, as well as applicable IHS Grants for Native Americans, and fulfills community health objectives as dictated by these programs and/or grants.
English-Spanish bilingual skills highly desirable.
Computer skills (MS Office Suite).
Possession of a current valid CPR certification, or ability to attain certification within initial six (6) months of employment.
Willingness to receive continuing education training (some travel required).
Native American preferred.
