Mail Server Administrator administers and maintains the organization's email system(s). Monitors server performance and mail routing. Being a Mail Server Administrator creates user accounts and maintains security levels on databases. Provides first-level telephone support and troubleshoots issues. Additionally, Mail Server Administrator monitors existing messaging infrastructure and server usage, ensuring proper working order. Provides recommendations and plans for improvements to e-mail network. May document internal policies or develop training for end-users. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Mail Server Administrator gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Description
We are a multi-state law firm seeking a full-time addition to our Mail Department in our Metairie Office.
This person will assist with mail processing and light clerical duties for the Metairie Office. Duties will include data entry, sorting and opening of all inbound mail, inbound mail processing which includes scanning, distribution of mail to other departments as needed and production of various documents in relation to the entry of mail.
Ability to maintain an organized environment is key. Person must be a team player and have a strong work ethic. The ability to learn the firm's file management software is essential.
