Network Operations Manager manages the daily operations of the organization's network infrastructure, including hardware, software, security, and services, to ensure it meets the organization's performance objectives. Implements policies and procedures that ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, minimize downtime, and support efficient operations. Being a Network Operations Manager provides network administrators and technicians with training in the best practices and technologies. Ensures logging and documentation of daily network operations incidents and changes. Additionally, Network Operations Manager leads troubleshooting and resolution of routine network issues and conducts root cause analysis (RCA) to prevent recurrences and identify potential technological, training, or process improvements. Automates routine tasks using scripting or basic programs. Advises on budget expenditures to ensure required tools and equipment are procured and maintained. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Network Operations Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Network Operations Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. Supports the development of Government test and evaluation documentation e.g., Test & Evaluation (T&E) Strategy, Test & Evaluation Master Plan, Event Test Plans, Test Readiness Assessments, and T&E Reports. Works with other test organizations to support T&E program integration. Provides specialized T&E capabilities tailored to system functions, level, maturity, and performance area as assigned in the SOW.

    What you'll be doing:
    • Assist in implementing hardware and software version control processes, policies and procedures
    • Assist in the use of configuration management tools (e.g. DOORS, Eclipse) to store, track, and manage configuration items
    • Understand basic concepts, and assist in documenting hardware and software configuration management processes and procedures
    • Implement hardware and software version control processes, policies and procedures
    • Understand basic concepts, assist in maintaining and developing the environment for hardware and software product build, staging, testing and integration
    • Assist in defining and implementing hardware and software configuration management processes and procedures; such as creating product build scripts and procedures, and integrating those scripts with the hardware and software build process
    • Utilize configuration management tools (e.g. DOORS, Eclipse) to store, track, and manage configuration items
    • Maintain the CM environment for hardware and software product build, staging, testing and integration
    • Develop hardware and software version control processes, policies and procedures and ensure that they are followed on hardware and software development projects
    • Apply concepts and define and implement hardware and software configuration management processes and procedures, such as creating product build scripts and procedures, and integrate those scripts with the hardware and software build process 11. Serve as an advisor to (or non-voting member of) Government Change Control Board (CCB)
    • Ensure hardware and software version control processes, policies and procedures are followed on hardware and software development projects.
    • Manage, maintain and develop the CM environment for hardware and software product build, staging, testing and integration
    • Work independently and defines and implement hardware and software configuration management processes and procedures, such as creating product build scripts and procedures, and integrate those scripts with the hardware and software build process
    What you'll need:
    • Eight (8) years experience as a CM in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Bachelors degree in a technical or business discipline from an accredited college or university is required. A Masters degree may be substituted for two (2) years of experience, thereby reducing the total years of experience to six (6). Four (4) years of additional CM experience may be substituted for a bachelors degree.
    • If assigned to a developmental program, one (1) year of experience using a source code control system for a developmental program of similar scope and complexity is required.
