Occupational Medicine Director directs the design and implementation of occupational medicine service offerings that support the needs of local businesses and workers. Maintains working relationships with local industries to ensure current issues are addressed and that the needs of the working community are met. Being an Occupational Medicine Director analyzes occupation related costs and case data; reports trends and status to management. Develops programs, guidelines, and standards for occupational service delivery that support the organization's overall strategy. Additionally, Occupational Medicine Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. Develops major goals to support broad functional objectives. Approves policies developed within various sub-functions and departments. The Occupational Medicine Director manages a departmental function within a broader corporate function.     We are looking for an experienced Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B) PRN/Part-Time to join our team at our Surry, VA site. In addition to a rewarding work environment, we offer our professionals competitive benefits and salary.

    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Responding to emergencies efficiently and promptly
    • Administering basic first aid and medical support to patients, in accordance with federal, state, local and company policy and regulations
    • Assessing the nature and extent of injuries/illnesses to prioritize medical procedures
    • Effectively communicating with medical professionals and treatment facilities to obtain instructions regarding further action
    • Effectively communicating with client and site personnel regarding any worksite incidents, hazards, etc.
    • Demonstrating a strong orientation towards team work and the ability to understand the importance of team coordinated efforts
    • Demonstrating a strong ability to be cognizant of the constantly changing worksite environment and construction site hazards
    • Ensuring that quality, clinical standards are practiced at all times
    • Documenting all findings and treatments clearly and concisely
    • Conducting oneself in a helpful, dignified and professional manner regardless of stress level and personal circumstances
    • Assisting the Site Safety Managers and Personnel in maintaining the most safe and secure work environment possible

    POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

    • EMT State Certification and/or National Registry; Must provide proof of Virginia reciprocity
    • Previous EMT experience, 1st response experience or emergency 911 experience preferred
    • Flexible schedule: Days, Nights, Weekend availability required
    • Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification; Any additional certifications are a plus
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with client and employees
