Payroll Manager jobs in Helena, MT

Big Timberworks Inc. located in Gallatin Gateway, MT is seeking an experienced full-time Office Manager to join our team. Our ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience with QuickBooks and a strong understanding of payroll and bookkeeping practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage and process bi-weekly payroll, including quarterly payroll reports
• Process Accounts Payable
• Create customer invoices and manage accounts receivable collections
• Enter banking transactions, process wire transfers, reconcile accounts
• Prepare financial reports monthly
• Border crossing paperwork for timber purchases
• Year-end W-2's, 1099's and various year end reports
• Annual insurance renewals
• Manage HR (new hires, benefits, employee handbook updates, work comp)
• Process Right to Lien notices
• Planning annual parties and special events
• Notary Public

Qualifications

• Proficient in QuickBooks
• 5 years minimum of accounting experience
• Strong understanding of payroll and bookkeeping practices
• Detail oriented, organizational skills and the ability to prioritize with minimal oversight
• Excellent customer service skills and courteous phone manner
• Exceptional communication skills, versatility to interact professionally with staff at all levels of the organization, in a positive and professional manner
• The right person should thrive on multitasking, consistent presence, meeting deadlines, and upholding confidentiality requirements
• Position is needed to work Monday through Friday 8:00 - 4:30, on site
