Quality Generalist Manager develops and administers policies and procedures for evaluating and improving the quality of products, materials, components and/or manufacturing processes. Makes recommendations to ensure production runs meet established quality standards and predicted yields. Being a Quality Generalist Manager ensures employees follow established procedures and complete quality assurance work within time and budgetary constraints. May be responsible for ensuring products meet international quality standards such as ISO 9001. Additionally, Quality Generalist Manager works across a variety of quality assurance disciplines. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Quality Generalist Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Manager to oversee our quality assurance and control processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and control of the plant's quality testing, reporting, and APQP system within the plant.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure product integrity
- Conduct quality inspections and analyze data to identify areas for improvement
- Repsponsible for the Advance Product Quality Planning Process (APQP).
- Managing the specification,test methods, instructions and audit processes.
- Lead quality audits and implement corrective actions as needed
- Knowledge of APQP quality principles, GD&T, SPC, capability analysis, corrective actions.
- Provide guidance on project management related to quality initiatives
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
- Proven experience in quality management, preferably in a regulated industry
- Previous experience in the development and maintenance of a quality testing/reporting
- Strong understanding of quality control principles and practices
- Experience in program management
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
