Ranch Manager manages the overall daily operations of a farm/ranch. Provides supervision and direction to staff. Being a Ranch Manager is responsible for purchasing tools, equipment and materials. May require a bachelor's degree or its equivalent with at least 5 years of related experience. Additionally, Ranch Manager relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Responsibilities:
- Assist with the care and maintenance of the ranch, including but not limited to:
- Feeding and watering animals, such as horses and livestock
- Cleaning stalls and barns
- Grooming and exercising horses
- Operate tractor for various tasks, such as:
- Loading & Moving Hay bales
- Clearing brush and debris
- Perform general maintenance tasks using hand tools, power tools, and equipment, including:
- Repairing fences and gates
- Maintaining farm equipment
- Maintain landscaping and irrigation
- Planting, watering, and harvesting crops
Qualifications:
- Experience working with equine animals
- Knowledge of animal handling techniques and best practices
- Familiarity with hand tools commonly used in ranch operations
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy objects and working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Previous experience in farm or ranch work is preferred
