Position/Title: Medical Assistant/Surgery Scheduler

Must-Have Qualifications:

• MA Diploma.
• BLS Certification.
• Ability to multitask.
• Previous Surgery Center Experience or experience working with a Doctor.
• Must be well-spoken and polished, as you are the face of a Top Ortho's practice.
• Must be sharp.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

• Experience in Spine, Ortho, or Pain Management.
• Bilingual in Spanish/English.

Education Requirements/Certifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• BLS Certification.
• MA Diploma.

Must-Have Soft Skills:

• Ability to multitask.
• Ability to be adaptable to changing priorities.

Day-to-Day Duties:

• Surgery Scheduling.
• Phone calls.
• Insurance verification.
• Submitting referrals, running eligibility checks.
• Managing calendar.
• Rooming patients.
• Recording vitals.
• Handling 20-25 patients a day, including 5 telemedicine appointments.

Shift/Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts, with flexibility.
• On-site in Newport Beach daily with occasional travel to Marina Del Rey location.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour
