Position Summary:  

Duties of a clinician include conducting mental health assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, leading individual or group therapy sessions, running preventative mental wellness classes or workshops and making treatment referrals. 

Essential Functions:

1. Prepare and maintain all required treatment records and reports.
2. Counsel clients and patients, individually and in group sessions, to assist in overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life, and making changes.
3. Collect information about clients through interviews, observation, and tests.
4. Act as client advocates to coordinate required services or to resolve emergency problems in crisis situations
5. Collaborate with other staff members to perform clinical assessments and develop treatment plans.
6. Meet with families and other interested parties to exchange necessary information during the treatment process as requested by patient.
7. Discuss with individual patients their plans for life after leaving therapy
8. Establishing short and long-range objectives and specifies the strategies and actions to achieve them in treatment planning, treatment plan reviews and discharge/transfer documentations.

Other Responsibilities:            

May be required to travel to other COHC sites to provide services.  

Requirements

Education, Experience, and Skills required:

1. Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling, Clinical Social Work, or other mental health related fields

3.  Minimum 1 year experience in outpatient setting; experience running therapy groups

4. Multicultural Competence (culturally competent with COHC population needs)

5. Bilingual preferred
