Position Summary:
Working closely with staff, board members, and volunteers, the Public Relations and Marketing Manager will ensure effective and branded messaging and media relations for the agency, manage promotional marketing initiatives, and increase the public’s awareness of services available through the Center for Family Violence Prevention. This position will work to identify and implement key strategics for enhancing public relations, marketing, communication, and fundraising. This position will work closely with the board Resource Development and Fundraising Committee to promote events, materials for engaging donors and corporate sponsors, and communicate the agency’s impact on survivors and community at large.

Compensation: $40,000-$50,000 per year

Job Responsibilities:
Public Relations
o Design and implement strategic communication plans
o Oversee media relations with external entities
o Develop relationships with media organizations and key stakeholders
o Advise the Executive Director in communications and public relations strategies
o Coordinate marketing and PR for fundraising events
o Work with the CFVP Board Fundraising Committee members to plan and promote fundraising events.
o Address negative press or communication issues with strategic and empowering messages
o Shape and ensure brand consistency in all marketing content
o Recommend campaigns to promote the company
o Coordinate and write press releases
o Identify and participate in outreach and education opportunities and community events
o Represent CFVP at community gatherings and events
Fundraising
· Work with the Executive Director and board and staff fundraising committees to plan, promote, and implement the annual fundraising plan
· Create materials for use in cultivating donor relationships
· Meet with prospective donors to communicate the agencies services and its value to the community
· Generate communications content, including annual report, website, and social media updates and posts
Volunteers
· Identify volunteer opportunities within the agency
· Present to and communicate with community groups, colleges, and agencies to promote volunteer opportunities
· Recruit and train interns and volunteers
· Maintain volunteer and intern records
· Monitor and respond to website and outreach inquiries
Qualifications:
· Knowledge and experience in the use of social media platforms
· In-depth understanding of web and marketing analytics.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Established connections with media outlets and key stakeholders a plus.
