Duties are performed primarily within a standard office setting. Some travel may be required to consumer homes and work sites, for which private means of transportation must be available.
Bachelor's degree or higher AND two (2) or more years at or above a paraprofessional or technical level in a human services program, involving direct client contact.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a human services field.
Successful applicants will be required to make a written commitment to secure, within five years of hire, a master’s degree in a field approved by the Department.
Candidates must pass any level of background investigation applicable to the position. In accordance with AHS Policy 4.02, Hiring Standards, Vermont and/or national criminal record checks, as well as DMV and adult and child abuse registry checks, as appropriate to the position under recruitment, will be conducted on candidates, with the exception of those who are current classified state employees seeking transfer, promotion or demotion into an AHS classified position or are persons exercising re-employment (RIF) rights.
