Position Summary:

Job Description

The position:

• Assists and advises students regarding:
• 1. Applications,
• 2. Registration,
• 3. Course selection,
• 4. Career development,
• 5. Graduation requirements,
• 6. Transfer process
• 7. Evaluates transcripts
• 8. Performs degree and graduation audits.

• Advises current and prospective students on degrees offered by the College and provides general information regarding College policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

The position requires:

• Bachelor's Degree and
• Two years of prior-related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Prefer applicants with:

• Experience in higher education,
• Previous experience in community college student services; specifically advising,
• Experience and knowledge of community college programs and student populations,
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills,
• The ability to work independently and/or in a team environment,
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Supplemental Job Information

This position:

• May require some evening and weekend hours, particularly during peak registration periods.
• The advisor selected must provide high quality customer services to internal and external customers.

This position requires at least an awarded Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited educational institution.
