Academic Support Coordinator assesses students' academic needs and proficiency, assists them in setting goals, connects them to appropriate resources, and provides ongoing support as needed. Coordinates with faculty advisors and staff to provide and support innovative programs that help students succeed. Being an Academic Support Coordinator coordinates tutoring for any students needing remedial instruction or English as a Second Language assistance. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Academic Support Coordinator typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Academic Support Coordinator gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Hourly staff hired into this position will be eligible to be paid for 52 weeks, which includes pay for all days when school is not in session as designated on the school calendar. This includes holidays, school closures due to weather, & summer days outside of ESY.

New Story Schools in Reading, PA (Wyomissing Blvd.) is seeking a qualified Academic and Behavior Support Staff who will work collaboratively with Special Education teachers and Behavior Analysts to fulfill the individual curriculum and self-care needs of the students. Staff will provide Autism Support to students with varying ability levels (including limited verbal skills and behavioral needs) in the K-12 age range.
