Accounting Assistant jobs in Marion, KY

Responsibilities:
- Perform various accounting tasks, including but not limited to: data entry, accounts payable, and balance sheet reconciliation.
- Assist with payroll processing and ensure accurate and timely payments to employees.
- Maintain financial records and documentation in an organized manner.
- Prepare financial reports and assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial information and resolve any discrepancies.
- Utilize accounting software such as Sage, Workday, or other systems to perform daily tasks.
- Stay up-to-date with technical accounting standards and government regulations.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting or related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as an accounting clerk or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and procedures.
- Proficient in data entry and using accounting software.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with governmental accounting or corporate accounting is a plus.

Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
