Additionally, Accounting Clerk has a basic understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Accounting Clerk works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. - Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable entries
- Utilize Excel proficiently to organize, analyze, and reconcile financial data
- Perform bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and identifying discrepancies
- Assist in month-end and year-end close processes
- Generate financial reports and assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Collaborate with the accounting team to support various financial projects and initiatives
- Follow established accounting principles and procedures to ensure compliance and accuracy
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Accounting Clerk or similar role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, formulas) for data analysis and reconciliation purposes
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Ability to work with attention to detail and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively within the team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, etc.)
- Familiarity with financial statements and reporting
