Accounting Manager manages multiple accounting functions and operations such as general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue, asset, cost, and tax accounting. Implements accounting policies and procedures that adhere to governmental financial and tax regulations and comply with GAAP and IFRS standards. Being an Accounting Manager oversees monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes and reporting. Evaluates accounting processes and systems and implements optimizations. Additionally, Accounting Manager develops and directs accounting professionals and support staff. Requires a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. May require Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credentials. Typically reports to a director or head of a unit/department. The CFO is responsible for assisting business owners and individuals in maintaining and improving their financial health and reporting procedures. Their duties include meeting with clients to discuss their current practices and financial needs, reviewing financial statements and tax forms to check for errors and performing audits to ensure compliance with tax organizations. The CFO conducts an in-depth interview with clients to obtain all required information and materials to complete the tax return. This individual will establish rapport with clients to build working relationships and increase retention. All tax returns are prepared utilizing the information provided by the clients and are keyed into tax software.
