In this role, you will oversee the monthly accounting and tax processes for a portfolio of clients, acting as the vital link between our clients and our skilled accounting staff. Your mission will be to ensure seamless operations and exceptional service delivery, helping our clients navigate their financial landscapes with confidence.

What you will do:

• Client Management:
• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients
• Serve as the primary contact for clients, addressing their accounting and tax needs with professionalism and expertise
• Provide innovative tax planning and consulting to optimize clients' financial strategies
• Accounting and Tax Supervision:
• Supervise and coordinate the monthly accounting process, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Prepare and review business and personal tax returns, including, but not limited to, 1120, 1120S, 1065, 990, and 1040s (including Schedule C)
• Manage tax provision and compliance processes, adhering to federal, state, and local regulations
• Identify and mitigate tax risks proactively
• Team Leadership:
• Lead and mentor the accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented work environment
• Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in accounting processes

You'll have:

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA or EA license preferred
• Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong background in accounting, tax, & compliance
• Proficiencyin tax software and MS Office
• Exceptionalclient services skillsand ability to build strong client relationships
• Strong leadership and personnel management skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Superior organizational skill and attention to detail

This position is available as in our Durham office with opportunities to work remotely 1-2 days per week after 90 days of employment.
