SNOWMAKING SUPERVISOR

BASIC FUNCTION                                                                 

Snowmaking Supervisor is responsible for duties related to snowmaking, including but not limited to: scheduling, maintenance, and repair of equipment.  Daily communication and coordination with Day/night snowmaking supervisor and Snowmaking Manager.

CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES                                       

• Diagnosis and repair of snowmaking equipment
• Move/set up Snowmaking equipment
• Communicate with Snowmaking Manager/Supervisor, to ensure best snow quality production
• Manage water supply, and snowmaking plans
• Pump house operation
• Inventory of all snowmaking equipment
• Communication with respective department heads.
• Maintain a clean and organized working environment
• Use PPE and follow all safety rules and procedures
• Operate shop equipment
• Assist with other projects or duties as assigned

SUPERVISION RECEIVED                                                           

Direction is received from Snowmaking Manager

QUALIFICATIONS                                                                 

• Follow all RMR rules, procedures and policies
• Able to drive and operate equipment for long periods
• 5 years of experience in a related field
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Follow instructions from the Snowmaking Manager and Mountain Operations Manager
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds
• Must be able to work in various positions i.e. sitting, crouched, standing or laying down
• Must be able to work in adverse outdoor environments
• Must be able to work without supervision
• Snow cat experience is a plus
