Job Summary: 

The Accounting Supervisor reports directly to the Assistant Controller. Employee is responsible for performing accounting and clerical functions to support the accounting department including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cost accounting, and month end accrual reconciliations. There is a high amount of review involved in this position, and attention to detail is key, as well as being incredibly organized. This position will be responsible for costing our inventory accurately and efficiently, and ensuring our AP is accurate. 

Essential Responsibilities:

• Review and post operating expense invoices.
• Review inventory cost accruals matched to invoices received from vendors.
• Review and analyze outbound freight invoices using excel.
• Perform month end reconciliations for accrual accounts such as outbound freight, material purchases, and inbound freight.
• Assist in managing the accounts payable team. 
• Assist with credit application requests from vendors.
• Assist as needed with accounts receivable reporting.

Supervisory Responsibilities: 

This position has supervisory responsibility of 2-3 employees.

Minimum Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree in business preferable in Accounting and/or a combination of education and experience. 
• Must understand General Ledger and Journal Entries
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook (VLOOKUP’s, pivot tables & excel formulas)
