Summary: Kodi Collective Marketing Execution Services is looking for an Accounting Supervisor. We are looking for an experienced Accounting Supervisor to oversee our accounting department’s daily operations while partnering with our Shared Service Accounting team. To succeed in this role, you should have a problem-solving attitude, be able to process/consolidate large amounts of numerical data from various systems, have strong advanced Excel skills and be able to partner with various departments. Ultimately, you should be able to ensure month end numbers are correct. This role sits remotely reporting to the Financial Analysis Manager. Responsibilities: Lead the month end close, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported in a timely manner. Ability to compare balances with budget, forecast or prior year and able to quickly identify variances that do not correlate with expectations. Trace/investigate accounting issues/discrepancies/variances using SAP and subledger systems and find a resolution to the issues in a timely manner. Communicate issues and resolutions to others in a timely and concise mannner. Review and approve journal entries by ensuring journal entries are properly supported with concise and accurate data and the correct profit center, cost center and general ledger account are selected. Analyze accruals to ensuring there are no missing accruals or balances are not overstated. Provide month end close reporting internally that provides clear explanations for balance variances. Review and approve account reconciliations ensuring balances are fully explained with the supporting documents and that the balances accurately reflect the activity in the account. Identify account reconciliation improvements and train the account reconciliation preparer to execute the improvements. Review the monthly financial statements and quarterly balance sheet analytics. Esure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits. Ensure that all required documentation and supporting schedules are readily available for auditors. Address corporate accounting variance and other questions Review and approve credit memo ensuring the customer credits are valid and accurate. Collaborate with various departments to answer billing questions and vendor inquires. Oversee vendor rebates by ensuring rebates are fully accrued quarterly and that the vendors pay rebates timely. Supervise the sales commissions calculations process to ensure commissions are properly paid and accrued. Partner with the Kodi Tax Department to address customer invoice tax questions Identify opportunities for process improvements in the accounting department and implement changes as needed to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Performs other related duties and participate or lead special projects as assigned Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting 3-5 year experience as an Accounting Supervisor Solid knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, laws and regulations Strong computer skills, MS Excel in particular managing spreadsheets, creating charts and using advanced formulas such as pivot tables, vlookup, match, index, etc. Analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills Attention to detail Strong leadership & communication skills Comfortable working with various systems that manage the business Experience with SAP preferred Experience with Essbase and Power BI are a nice to have Kodi Collective began back in 1864 as R.R.
