Description

The Accounting Representative is responsible for processing client payments, maintaining various accounting, operational and reconciliation reports, and performing various accounting and clerical functions as required.

JOB DUTIES

• Perform daily payment posting functions
• Process client account receivable payments for clients
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales tax filings for multiple states
• Record various transactions in QuickBooks
• Process client remit payments monthly
• Prepare monthly reconciliation reports
• Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with other employees
• Ability to meet department attendance requirements
• Ability to work effectively under departmental pressure/stress situations

Qualifications

Knowledge and Experience 

• High School Education
• Associate’s degree or certificate in accounting a plus
• Accounting, bank teller, or related experience a plus
• QuickBooks experience a plus

Skills and Abilities

• Computer skills– proficiency in Microsoft Excel, familiarity with Microsoft Word and Outlook
• 10 key by touch
• Good problem-solving and analytical capabilities
• Attention to detail
• Proven ability to work independently
• Maintain confidentiality as outlined in the company’s Confidentiality Agreement
• Work well independently and as part of a team
• Convey professionalism in all day-to-day activities
