Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing invoices, reconciling vendor statements, and assisting with general accounting tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare customer invoices;
• Communicating with customers and operations regarding billing.
• Follow up with collections on any overdue customer invoices.
• Assist as needed with balance sheet account reconciliations, and monthly journal entries.
• Assist in other areas of the accounting department as needed.
• Process accounts payable invoices accurately and timely.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with month-end closing activities.
• Maintain accurate records of financial transactions.
• Communicate with vendors regarding payment inquiries.
• Support the accounting team with ad-hoc tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• Good communication; must interact with customers, operational managers and personnel, and management.
• Must be able to read and understand contracts and agreements with customers.
• Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and perform conversions such as unit of measure/volume conversions and currency conversions.
• Good data entry/keyboard/number pad skills.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Great Plains Dynamics is a plus.
• Previous experience in accounts payable or general accounting
• Proficiency in double-entry bookkeeping and general ledger reconciliation
• Knowledge of accounting software such as PeopleSoft, UltiPro, ADP, or Paychex
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines efficiently
• Familiarity with general ledger accounting and payroll processes

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
