Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing incoming payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles. This role is crucial in supporting the overall revenue cycle management and requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and billing processes.

Responsibilities

• Process and record all incoming payments accurately and timely.
• Manage accounts receivable aging reports to ensure timely collection of outstanding invoices.
• Communicate with clients regarding billing inquiries and payment discrepancies, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
• Perform credit analysis on new accounts to assess risk and establish credit limits.
• Utilize Stampli or other platforms for tracking payments, generating invoices, and maintaining financial records.
• Collaborate with the medical billing department to ensure accurate coding using ICD-10 standards.
• Maintain compliance with GAAP while managing financial documentation.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to accounts receivable activities.
• Support the revenue cycle management by identifying areas for improvement in billing processes.

Requirements

• Proficiency in medical terminology is preferred.
• Strong understanding of debits and credits as they relate to accounts receivable functions.
• Experience with Stampli or similar accounting software is a plus.
• Knowledge of medical billing practices and revenue cycle management is advantageous.
• Familiarity with credit analysis techniques and financial reporting standards.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent math skills for accurate financial calculations.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
