Activity Assistant

Assist with the organization and implementation of social gatherings and activity programs for the residents of MVNH.

:

• Planning and organizing: Assistance with planning and scheduling daily, weekly, or monthly activities.
• Leading activities: Leading group activities like games, exercise programs, and arts and crafts.
• Encouraging participation: Interacting with residents and encouraging them to participate in activities.
• Setting up and cleaning: Setting up, dismantling, and storing activity supplies and seasonal decorations, and cleaning up after each activity.
• Assisting residents: Assisting residents, monitoring their safety during group activities, and providing individual support to residents who may have difficulty participating in group activities.
• Documenting participation: Documenting resident participation in activities
• Coordinating scheduling: Coordinating scheduling with other staff to avoid conflicts when needed.
• Creating inclusion plans: Creating inclusion plans for residents with special needs
• Observing participants: Observing participants at events gauge their enjoyment and obtain their feedback to improve events.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $16.41 per hour

Healthcare setting:

• Nursing home

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Rotating weekends

Ability to Relocate:

• Maple City, MI 49664: Relocate before starting work (Required)
