Activity Specialist organizes and provides program content for social events for an organization or group of people. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Being an Activity Specialist is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. This job consists of setting up rooms/gyms for reservations by the lifting/moving of tables, chairs, bleachers and other equipment as well as taking down the set-up after the reservations for clean-up. One must be able to move/lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis and climb a ladder to heights of 20 feet or more. Must be able to work days, nights, weekends and holidays as needed. Work hours will vary depending upon activity center needs based upon rentals, programs, activities, and special events.
