Actuarial Fellow jobs in Athens, GA

The Actuarial Intern will support product pricing and business intelligence for Group Life and Health Reinsurance.  The Actuarial Intern will utilize various data sources to update models that provide relevant information to aid short, mid, and long-term decision-making from both a product reinsurance pricing and business development perspective.  The Intern will utilize their understanding of analytical and statistical approaches/tools to transform the way in which data is translated into actionable intelligence while encompassing a customer-focused culture. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Provides support for actuarial experience studies for all key assumptions, including policyholder behavior, capital requirements, and expense assumptions as needed.
• Utilizes Power BI to perform experience study analysis, updating the appropriate analytic tools.
• Mines and analyzes organizational data, including, but not limited to, financial, reporting, expenditure, and revenue data sets.
• Augments interactive dashboards and reports using technologies such as Power BI and Tableau.
• Updates key performance indicators (KPIs), real-time dashboards, and/or reports to track business performance.
• Collects, cleans, and preprocesses data from various sources to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
• Interprets data findings to uncover actionable insights and opportunities for business growth.
• Actively participates and contributes to the goals and objectives of the Company by working collaboratively and fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.

Training or Work Experience:

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program at an accredited university or college pursuing a degree in actuarial science, mathematics, or statistics required.
• Preference is given to actuarial students who have passed at least one Actuarial exam (through the Society of Actuaries) preferred.

Education: 

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.

Working Conditions:
