SUBSTANCE ABUSE COUNSELOR- ST. JOSEPH - MO

Location: 3401 Faraon St Saint Joseph MO 64506

Position Type: Full Time

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8AM - 5PM

Pay Rate: $40-68k depending on experience, education, and credentials

Addiction Counselors are responsible for:

• Completes comprehensive assessments of clients’ substance abuse history and treatment requirements, and develops individualized treatment plan.
• Provides individual and group counseling and may facilitate didactic groups.
• Documents treatment and discharge plans, and clients’ progress and responses to treatment; and maintains related records and charts.
• Performs case management and contributes to client care monitoring.

Job Requirements:

• Must meet one of the below:
• Bachelor’s or Masters degree in related field ORHigh school/GED with 4 years of behavioral health experience, and a MADAC or higher level credential ORAssociates degree, and a MADAC or higher level credential
• Must be able to obtain Missouri Department of Corrections clearance.
