Orange County Department of Mental Health seeks Community Mental Health Specialist to work as a member of the Orange County Department of Mental Health clinic team. Community Mental Health Specialist will carry a caseload and provide community-based assessment, treatment, treatment planning, Individual and group psychotherapy for enrolled individuals and families.

Individual and group supervision provided at no cost for all

Free high quality training through the Orange County Trauma Institute for approved trainings

Supportive environment

Contract for flexible number of hours and schedule

Community Based locations may include but are not limited to: Schools, Homes, Probation Offices, Social Services Offices, and Primary Care sites.

Applicants shall meet the following qualifications:

Licensed in accordance with NY State Education Law, Title 8, article 153, 154, or 163 as a Clinical Social Worker, or Master Social Worker, or Mental Health Counselor, or Psychologist, or Marriage and Family Therapist, or Psychoanalyst, or Creative Arts Therapist; and

Possess National Provider Identification (NPI) Number; and

Possess at least one (1) year experience working/interning within the mental health field; and

Possess a valid driver’s license; and

Pass required background check(s)
