The Admissions Liaison ensures compliance with applicable standards. Coordinates all admitting department operations in a nursing home environment. Being an Admissions Liaison works with medical, nursing, and accounting staff to ensure appropriate patient placement. Oversees the in-patient/out-patient functions, bed assignments, and completion of preliminary paperwork for entering patients. In addition, Admissions Liaison confirms that all insurance benefits coverage meets standards of admission as dictated by policy. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Coordinate an effective, efficient admissions process for all patients.
Receive referrals, gather and verify pertinent information, and complete necessary procedures to schedule and admit inpatients and/or outpatients.
Play a key role in the referral process and compile/input statistical information into hospital systems.
Credentials:
One or more years of experience with hospital admissions procedures and regulatory guidelines for admissions preferred.
Licensure as a clinician preferred.
One or more years of clinical experience and a strong understanding of multidisciplinary levels of care preferred.
