Aircraft Electrician jobs in Fontana, CA
Aircraft Electrician performs preventative and non-routine maintenance and inspections of aircraft avionics and electrical systems. Uses manufacturer's reference documents, diagrams, and best practices to troubleshoot problems, identify the correct solutions and replace or repair components and parts. Being an Aircraft Electrician conducts quality testing, verification procedures, and required documentation of all completed work. Ensures compliance with all FAA maintenance regulations and requirements. Additionally, Aircraft Electrician typically requires an associate degree in aviation electronics, avionics or equivalent. Requires Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Aircraft Electrician works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. Responsibilities- Install and repair electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment.
- Install power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment
- Replace faulty electrical components of machines.
- Collaborate with other maintenance employees to problem solve equipment failures.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and electrical and electronic test equipment.
- Adhere to safety policies
- Provide information to supervisor regarding repairs needed or noticed during routine inspections of equipment and facilities
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical difficulties
Qualifications- Previous experience working as an Electrician required
- Positive attitude, can-do mentality and eagerness to improve
- Diligent work ethic and dedicated approach to performing duties
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
