Aircraft Electrician performs preventative and non-routine maintenance and inspections of aircraft avionics and electrical systems. Uses manufacturer's reference documents, diagrams, and best practices to troubleshoot problems, identify the correct solutions and replace or repair components and parts. Being an Aircraft Electrician conducts quality testing, verification procedures, and required documentation of all completed work. Ensures compliance with all FAA maintenance regulations and requirements. Additionally, Aircraft Electrician typically requires an associate degree in aviation electronics, avionics or equivalent. Requires Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Aircraft Electrician works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. POSITION SUMMARY:
We are searching for a full time dependable, detail-oriented Electrician to join our excellent, growth-oriented company. This is a wonderful position for either a Master Electrician or a Journeyman willing to obtain their Master's license within one year of hire. This position will support five locations in MO, MN, SD, IA, and MI. Travel to locations via car or plane is required (approximately 25% of your time).
The Electrician's responsibilities include installing and servicing electrical systems, observing company safety guidelines, documenting each project, and updating records, providing material cost and time estimates, and someday training apprentices. You should also be able to easily diagnose electrical faults and provide excellent customer service across the business.
To be successful as an Electrician, you should be able to read blueprints, use diagnostic tools, and make decisions under pressure and autonomously. Outstanding Electricians have sound knowledge of their craft and the ability to transfer this knowledge and skill to apprentices.
