Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor supervises the maintenance operations of aircraft airframes and engines to ensure safe and reliable performance. Oversees routine servicing and preventative maintenance to optimize the lifetime of aircraft airframe and engine components according to internal procedures, guidelines, and technical handbooks. Being an Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor evaluates technical requirements to determine the tradeoffs between the repair versus the replacement of components and the effect on cost and safety. Implements policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all federal aviation regulations, standards, and specifications. Additionally, Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor informs and trains aircraft mechanics on current information from manufacturers and regulatory bodies. Coordinates and schedules inspections and follow-up tasks to ensure timely completion. Requires a high school diploma. Requires FAA Airframe (A) and Powerplant (P) Mechanic License. Typically reports to a manager. The Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be an Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for helping the Maintenance Supervisor by keeping our facility operating smoothly and repairing any problems when they are discovered before they have a chance to worsen.
Responsibilities and Purpose
- Performing routine maintenance around the building.
- Working on damaged electrical wiring when a shortage or severed wire occurs.
- Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries.
- Clean various surfaces and areas, including tabletops, floors, furniture, and windows
- Refinish floors as needed.
- Fix minor issues related to electricity, plumbing and other systems.
- Keep equipment in working order and report any repair needs beyond your scope to Supervisor.
Desired Experience and Education
- A valid Oklahoma Driver’s License.
- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, mechanical and HVAC.
- Carpentry ability to handle basic repairs around the building.
- Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility or Long Term Care environment preferred.
