Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor supervises the maintenance operations of aircraft airframes and engines to ensure safe and reliable performance. Oversees routine servicing and preventative maintenance to optimize the lifetime of aircraft airframe and engine components according to internal procedures, guidelines, and technical handbooks. Being an Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor evaluates technical requirements to determine the tradeoffs between the repair versus the replacement of components and the effect on cost and safety. Implements policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all federal aviation regulations, standards, and specifications. Additionally, Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor informs and trains aircraft mechanics on current information from manufacturers and regulatory bodies. Coordinates and schedules inspections and follow-up tasks to ensure timely completion. Requires a high school diploma. Requires FAA Airframe (A) and Powerplant (P) Mechanic License. Typically reports to a manager. The Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be an Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     The Aircraft Maintenance and Parts Administrator reports to the General Manager and is responsible for all administrative duties in the FBO aircraft maintenance department to include billing and processing invoices, filing, customer service, assisting with parts procurement, inventory control, parts sales and returns, shipping and receiving, and tool control related to the maintenance operation. This may include serving both internal and external customers. 



    Job Responsibilities
    • Order, stock, and maintain inventory for all parts and supplies.
    • Assist with inbound and outbound shipments as required. 
    • Assist with tool control, including calibration requirements and tracking.
    • Perform end of month reports and close out, and maintain daily callout spreadsheet
    • Locate, identify and deliver parts as needed to mechanics.
    • Create, evaluate, and adjust, customer invoicing and close maintenance work orders. 
    • Opening and closing work orders.
    • Collect payment for work orders and tickets.
    • Communicating with customers and vendors to coordinate maintenance service for aircraft and resolve inquires.
    • Scheduling mechanics to meet service agreement requirements for commercial airlines.
    • Create correspondence letters, reports and forms for management. 
    • Maintain files to include airline certifications, training and other record compliance. 
    • Maintain current aircraft maintenance manuals by updating with revisions.
    • Perform callouts with mechanics to assist with maintenance tasks
    • Observe all safety, environmental, and general housekeeping rules, and policies. 
    • Maintain a clean and organized workstation. 
    • May perform other duties as assigned by management

    Job Qualifications

    Minimum Education and/or Experience:

    • High School diploma or general education degree (GED), required
    • 1 to 2 years of experience working in aircraft maintenance or administrative role, preferred

     

    Additional knowledge and skills:

    • Perform simple math calculations. 
    • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
    • Listen and effectively present information to and communicate with groups of customers, vendors, and employees. 
    • Valid driver’s license. 
    • Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills. 
    • Understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) related to aircraft parts preferred. 
    • Previous experience in supply chain operations and/or inventory management preferred. 
    • Forklift operation knowledge preferred. 
    • Report to work in a regular and timely manner. 
    • Must show initiative and have great organizational skills 
    • Basic level proficiency in general inventory, receiving, purchasing, parts sales, shipping, parts returns and tooling. 
    • Read and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. 
    • Minimum of 18 years of age
    • Ability to pass background checks (criminal and motor vehicle), drug tests, receive and maintain issuance of an airport security badge, and be insurable by the company’s applicable insurance policies 
    • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment
