Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor supervises the maintenance operations of aircraft airframes and engines to ensure safe and reliable performance. Oversees routine servicing and preventative maintenance to optimize the lifetime of aircraft airframe and engine components according to internal procedures, guidelines, and technical handbooks. Being an Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor evaluates technical requirements to determine the tradeoffs between the repair versus the replacement of components and the effect on cost and safety. Implements policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all federal aviation regulations, standards, and specifications. Additionally, Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor informs and trains aircraft mechanics on current information from manufacturers and regulatory bodies. Coordinates and schedules inspections and follow-up tasks to ensure timely completion. Requires a high school diploma. Requires FAA Airframe (A) and Powerplant (P) Mechanic License. Typically reports to a manager. JOB SUMMARY
This position requires the incumbent to work at heights, use hazardous chemicals and materials, undertake lifting of at least 50 pounds and other physically demanding tasks as well as travel across a number of sites/locations. The Maintenance Supervisor works as a member of the team, providing services to residential properties under the direction of the Property Manager. You must be a motivated individual who takes pride in a job well done and ensures that all maintenance is carried out with a high level of safety and efficiency. The employee must meet physical demands in order to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The Maintenance Supervisor may frequently lift, push, pull and/or move up to 150 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee should be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time, as this position does require moving around the property's premises. The employee is also occasionally required to work both from ground level to 20-30 feet on a ladder or lift. The Maintenance Supervisor is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and work from various positions. The employee must also be able to work in extreme weather conditions. The position may involve exposure to extreme heat, cold, rain, wind or other adverse weather conditions.
