Painter/Paint Prep

Your duty as a Painter at Univair Aircraft Corporation will be to prepare and paint parts to blueprint specification in an efficient and timely manner. At Univair we strive for quality in every part we make.

Daily activities of the Painter position:

• The painter will be required to prepare parts for painting using various methods including media blast, washing, and sanding.
• The painter will also be required to spray paint parts as directed using HVLP or standard spray gun.
• The painter will be required to mix paint to spraying viscosity and maintain the paint booth (and related equipment) in a clean and orderly manner.
• Some additional duties include but are not limited to: Flame spray-metalizing parts as directed. Operating various shop equipment to cut, grind, tap, and deburr parts. Assisting in the shop or any other reasonable tasks as directed by supervisor.
• While Univair provides many of the tools necessary for everyday work, you will be required to supply your own hand tools. (Basic tools such as screw drivers, wrenches, hammers, and measuring tools.)

Qualifications required for the position:

• High attention to detail.
• Strong desire to work with your hands and a basic knowledge of basic hand tools.
• Possess basic math skills and the ability to read and write in English.
• Must be able to safely master use of Media Blast Machine, spray paint equipment, and general shop equipment.
• Good communication skills are a must.
• You will be expected to be able to lift up to 70 pounds on occasion and also possess the ability to climb a ladder safely.
• Able to stand for 8 hour shifts 5 days per week.
• MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A PRE-EMPLOYMENT DRUG SCREEN.
• Must be a US citizen or proof of legal right to work.

Pay: From $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
