Requires FAA Airframe (A) and Powerplant (P) Mechanic License. Typically reports to a supervisor. GENERAL SUMMARY
The position of Mechanic is responsible for repairing roofing and pavement patching equipment and performing all showroom helper duties in a skillful manner within the standards required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Repairing equipment as needed.
Assembling new products that arrive unassembled.
Keeping the showroom and mechanics bay clean and organized.
Helping customers load and unload equipment.
Assisting with picking, shipping, and receiving duties.
Performing janitorial duties as needed.
Notifying Branch Lead of product shortages and overstocks.
Performing service calls at customer job sites as required.
Operating a forklift.
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements :
EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE
Hight school diploma or general education degree (GED) and three years related experience and / or training. Experience includes small engine repair, pneumatics, power tool repair and a basic understanding in electrical, heat generating and electronic equipment.
Welding experience required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and / or other employees of the organization.
Spanish speaking not required but is a plus.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Must be able to operate a forklift; have a valid driver's license and good driving record; and have own tools to use at work.
