Airframe and Engine Mechanic, Sr. maintains, repairs, and troubleshoots aircraft components to ensure safe and reliable performance. Conducts routine servicing to optimize the lifetime of aircraft airframe and engine components according to internal procedures, guidelines, and technical handbooks. Being an Airframe and Engine Mechanic, Sr. utilizes a variety of tools and equipment to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues and determine malfunctioning parts of aircraft engines and assemblies. Follows company protocols to maintain safety, cleanliness, and organization within the hangar or workshop. Additionally, Airframe and Engine Mechanic, Sr. recommends part changes or adjustments to ensure compliance with all federal aviation regulations, standards, and specifications. Maintains accurate records of services and procedures performed and documents and reports issues, concerns, and unusual wear or damage of parts. Requires a high school diploma. Requires FAA Airframe (A) and Powerplant (P) Mechanic License. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Airframe and Engine Mechanic, Sr. works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. DUTIES:
Mechanic will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of a wide variety of landscape equipment, for example, but not limited to: lawn mowers, line trimmers, leaf blowers, hedge trimmers, cutoff saws, chainsaws, sod cutters, aerators and dethatchers, electric motors, pumps, tanks hoses, reels, fertilizer spreaders, ride on to push spreader, insecticide and turf spraying tanks from 50 to 300 gallons.
Mechanic will also be expected to perform scheduled maintenance and repairs of larger equipment such as trucks, trailers, tractors and skid steers on an as-needed basis.
Mechanics must maintain a well-organized and clean shop at all times.
Mechanic must take direction from the GM of our Beaufort, SC branch and serve the repair and maintenance needs of a large landscape production staff. As such, qualified candidates will display a consistent attitude of teamwork and positive cooperation when facing multi-faceted demands.
Mechanics must be able to follow set schedules and maintenance routines, but also prioritize incoming work and function efficiently as independent problem solvers in the absence of constant or immediate supervision.
REQUIREMENTS:
Valid Driver's License required
DOT physical required
All potential candidates must pass a background check and maintain a clean driving record
ADDITIONALLY, MECHANIC MUST BE ABLE TO WORK IN A VERY PHYSICALLY DEMANDING ENVIRONMENT THAT INCLUDES FREQUENT BENDING, STOOPING, KNEELING, AND LIFTING UP TO 50 LBS.
