    Advertised Job Summary
    Leads the planning and implementation of alumni programming and special events. Manages event communication, including website stories and mailings. Develops content for and manages the alumni pages of the college website. Assists with developing strategic communication initiatives and ensures consistency in messaging, content, and tone across various communication channels. Assists the college’s development team with alumni outreach as needed.

    Minimum Qualifications
    A Bachelor’s degree and 4 or more years of experience may be substituted by an equivalent combination of certification, training, education, and/or experience.

    Preferred Qualifications
    Significant experience working within a university health sciences college directly with an Academic Dean and college leadership. Significant experience building productive relationships with alumni, donors, and faculty. Experience working in community relations, communications, marketing, or another external-facing role. Significant experience planning and managing large and small special events. Experience engaging and leading volunteers. Experience in alumni relations.

    Develop and implement comprehensive plans intended to increase alumni engagement and foster relationships, with nursing alumni to raise awareness of college priorities, increase alumni participation, and strengthen the college’s prospective donor pipeline. Plans may include but not be limited to conducting in-person or virtual alumni and prospective donor visits, managing or assisting with special events such as alumni reunions, Homecoming Weekend, Dean’s Circle events, donor scholar initiatives, Open House, and/or other events supporting the College of Nursing (CON).

    Works closely and collaborates with the University Development’s Office of Annual Giving in the planning and coordinating related annual giving campaigns, including but not limited to Give 4 Garnet and other annual giving initiatives. Build relationships with the University’s Alumni Association in ways that help support the college’s engagement goals. Attend related University and CON related development, alumni, communications, or other meetings needed to enhance the CON mission document prospective donor visits and communication in Blackbaud CRM.
