  • Praescient Analytics is in search of a Data Analyst to support one of our government customers. This position is to support the mission of the Offices of Inspectors General (OIG), Pandemic Response Accountability Committee (PRAC) for the purpose of conducting data analysis and visualization; sharing leading practices; providing tools and services; and providing investigative intelligence.

    The mission of the PRAC is to promote transparency and conduct and support oversight of covered funds and the Coronavirus response to (1) prevent and detect fraud, waste, abuse, and mismanagement (FWA&M); and (2) mitigate major risks that cut across program and agency boundaries. As part of this mission, the PRAC works with Federal Inspectors General (IGs) to develop recommendations on measures to prevent or address fraud, waste, abuse and mismanagement; provides support in conducting investigations, audits, and reviews relating to the covered funds and Coronavirus response; and refers matters for criminal investigations.

    The Data Analyst will help enable PRAC’s Enterprise Data Management framework. This individual will be required to assist with developing an enterprise data strategy. This position is Fully Remote. US Citizenship is REQUIRED.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Define and implement strategies to cleanse, augment and enrich enterprise data holdings; this may include, for example, supporting data dictionaries and metadata tagging tools
    • Conduct activities to assess, define and/or implement strategies to optimize the PRAC data environment and data for analysis including:Identify data management gaps across the PRAC environment by conducting assessments and outreach to end users
    • Create data modeling deliverables such as Entity Relationship Diagrams
    • Identify areas where data store redundancy occurs, if applicable, and what impact it may have on existing pipelines and analytic outputs
    • Identify data quality gaps in terms of completeness, reliability, and accuracy
    • Document the location and movement of sensitive data across the environment

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree
    • Excellent technical writing skills; ability to create professional deliverables that effectively communicate IT concepts
    • Exposure to cloud-based environments including relational databases (SQL) and/or data lakes (ADLS, Databricks)
    • Experience working with end users and stakeholders to gather requirements and feedback in order to generate prioritized recommendations for leadership
    • U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience working with large datasets and data integration pipelines
    • Experience using in SAS, SQL, R Language, Tableau, Power BI, or other related languages and tools
    • Familiarity with fraud data analytics
    • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure services, including Data Factory, ADLS Gen2, Databricks, Purview
    • Experience on consultative projects; ability to deliver recommendations on improving PRAC processes to senior leadership
