Position Summary

The Logistics Pricing & Procurement Analyst is responsible for providing competitive pricing for customer RFP’s and volume requests. They should be able to recruit carriers for existing and potential business opportunities. Candidate must have a keen awareness of economic factors that can influence the industry, be an analytical problem solver, reliable, can multi-task, and be a team player.

Position Responsibilities

• Evaluating and completing customer RFPs and volume requests.
• Working closely with sales and management on strategies for competitive rates.
• Building working documents for data manipulation/analysis.
• Submitting bids through various customer pricing platforms.
• Recruiting carriers for sourcing applicable opportunities.
• Teaming with operations to source new, potential carriers in areas of existing business.
• Vetting newly recruited carriers.
• Some brokering of loads may be required.
• Cross-training for backup of other logistics positions.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field Business, Transportation, Logistics preferred.

Experience

• 2 or more years of non-asset freight brokerage pricing/procurement.
