Job Description:

AKCG is seeking an experienced Account Manager to join our Crisis Communications practice. This individual exhibits strong professional and client-service skills and a heightened ability to counsel clients through difficult situations. This person will serve as the account lead for assigned clients and oversee day-to-day workload and junior account team staff on relevant assignments.

Position requirements:

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage day-to-day activities for groups of crisis communication clients, working to understand and manage client expectations. Establish strong and trusted relationships with client contacts.
• Support AKCG’s crisis practice team in counseling clients through crises/issues.
• Originate, refine and deliver necessary client materials within established timeframes, with limited guidance and direction from the larger crisis practice team.
• Organize and lead client meetings, calls and other timely strategy discussions.
• Identify topics, trends, issues and other current events that may prove relevant to the firm’s clients and initiate strategic discussion with AKCG team members and clients.
• Propose and lead periodic brainstorming and strategy discussions to evaluate and improve client services and materials.
• Manage, track and organize client data as necessary for the function of the crisis practice.
• Support junior team members, ensuring the team meets deadlines (both internal and external).
• Participate in frequent crisis practice and AKCG team discussions as are necessary to the function of the firm.
• Support efforts to grow and market the crisis practice – including speaking opportunities – in partnership with the Practice Lead.
• Exercise a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
