Responsibilities and Duties

• Handle both dogs and cats, including large breeds
• Cleaning and maintenance of kennels, general boarding areas, bowls, and kitchen
• Feeding, walking, and watering pets
• Administering medications
• Observe and report well-being of boarding patients
• Chart feeding, medication administration, and eliminations
• Monitoring for any abnormalities
• Keeping track of pets’ belongings
• Bathing pets, expressing anal glands, cleaning ears, and trimming nails
• Electronic recordkeeping
• Maintaining cleanliness of clinic
• Maintaining outside walking area
• Treating clients and co-workers in a professional, courteous manner
• Work in a fast paced environment
• Assisting other coworkers and performing other duties as needed

Physical Requirements

• Lift patients and carry equipment up to 50 pounds
• Lift patients and carry equipment over 50 pounds with a partner
• Adequate stamina for a busy work day with lots of standing and walking
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
