VCA Kickingbird Animal Hospital is seeking a part-time morning Animal Care Assistant to join the team.

About Us: Our well-established, AAHA-accredited 8-doctor practice in Edmond, OK is open 7am - 7pm on Weekdays, 8am-5pm on Saturday and 12-5pm on Sunday.  We have a unique culture in our hospital that values each person’s individual skill and personality. Our wide range of services include primary care from wellness to illness, surgery, dentals, same-day appointments, and medical boarding and baths. We are located just north of OKC in Edmond.

About the role: As a member of the VCA team, you will support the Technician and Doctor teams by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Your mission will be to win the confidence of every pet parent—by delivering an outstanding client experience—so we can provide exceptional care to every patient. The skills that will be utilized include, but are not limited to:

• Providing compassionate care for our boarding animals.
• Providing a fun and safe environment for our patients and giving lots of love.
• Bathing and nail trims. Able to lift 40lbs.
• Keeping the boarding area clean, laundry, and dishes.
• Restraining and assisting in patient exams and routine procedures.
• Maintaining electronic medical records.
• Assisting our wonderful Doctor and Technician staff as needed.
• Maintaining a clean, safe hospital environment.
