PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Uphold the mission of Humane Animal Rescue throughout all responsibilities of the position
2. Understand and support the Open Door Philosophy of Humane Animal Rescue.
3. Performs daily cleaning, feeding, and enrichment of all animals at the Wildlife Center based on condition and age.
4. Maintain positive relationships with co-workers, managers, directors, volunteers, interns, and presenters.
5. Assists with the maintenance and up keep of the Wildlife Center, including cleanliness of office area, animal treatment areas and kitchen.
6. Assists with the routine cleaning including dishes and laundry for the Wildlife Center.
7. Assists with the training of volunteers and interns for the Wildlife Center.
8. Assists with daily activities such has daily hand feedings of infant wildlife at the Wildlife Center.
9. Upholds all policies and procedures in accordance with the Clinic Manager.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Experience with the husbandry of wild animals helpful, but not necessary.
2. Excellent customer service experience and organizational skills.
3. Excellent computer skills.
4. Meticulous recording-keeping.
5. Ability to remain calm in times of stress, especially when handling animals.
6. Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule which will include days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
7. Ability to frequently move, bend, handle animals, and lift up to 50 lbs.
